COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) was contacted last week in reference to a suspect from Kentucky who was in the Columbus area and was using false identification. A BMV photograph confirmed that the name and birthdate he had given to law enforcement was not correct.
On April 1, BCSO received a call about an abandoned vehicle. The car, registered to a female from Hamersville, Ohio, was towed from the scene. After making contact with the owner, it was confirmed that the suspect was Brandon Jenkins, 31, of Louisville.
Deputies located the suspect on Jonathan Moore Pike and served an out-of-state arrest warrant on Wednesday.
Jenkins was remanded to Bartholomew County Jail on preliminary charges of false informing.
