COLUMBUS, Ind. – A Bartholomew County woman was arrested on Friday after she was seen driving a stolen vehicle. The Columbus Police Department (CPD) was dispatched at 6:30 p.m. to the 3000 block of Griffa Avenue.
The owner of the car told officers that he left his vehicle running in his driveway for a couple of minutes and then noticed it was gone. The alleged stolen SUV was observed at a Columbus convenience store in the 200 block of North Gladstone Avenue later Friday night.
A witness reported that Kaliegh Stogdill, 29, of Columbus exited the stolen car and went into the store. Police found her a short time later where she was taken into custody. Stogdill is facing a preliminary charge of auto theft.
