FRANKLIN, Ind. – Johnson County REMC is accepting applications for its 2021 Academic Scholarship Program, which encourages high school seniors to further their education while also promoting the awareness and importance of the cooperative business model.
Scholarships in the amount of $2000 will be presented to two graduating seniors who will attend an Indiana college, university, or trade school in the fall of 2021. It is the first year that students attending trade schools are eligible.
“We know that many well-paying, in-demand jobs require vocational or technical training but not necessarily a traditional college degree,” said CEO John W. Sturm. “JCREMC is proud to support students as they select the educational options most appropriate for their individual interests.”
