COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Bartholomew County Circuit Court Juvenile Detention Alternatives Initiative (JDAI) and the Heritage Fund are offering a free information session designed to increase understanding between the community and law enforcement.
Improving Police and Community Relations, led by Indiana State Police is this Thursday, November 12, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., at The Commons. It is free and open to the public. Social distancing and face masks are required.
“We need an increased understanding of the diverse population with whom our sheriff’s office interacts. The unique role of law enforcement makes cross-cultural understanding imperative,” said Sheriff Matt Myers.
