JOHNSON COUNTY, Ind. – The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office reported Friday morning that it is continuing its search for Michael Riddle, 37, of Edinburgh. On September 21, he was sentenced to 39 years and six months in jail but did not show up to his hearing.
Authorities were notified late Thursday morning that the fugitive was spotted in a specific area of Hancock County. Several agencies combed the area for twelve hours before the search was called off. Investigators say that they are confident Riddle is no longer in that vicinity.
He is wanted for dealing methamphetamine, possession of an altered handgun, and carrying a handgun.
