SEYMOUR, Ind. – The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office followed up on a tip received about a registered sex offender on Wednesday afternoon. Law enforcement was reportedly told by the informant that the sex offender, Ryan Waggoner, 35, of Seymour, was not living at his registered address of 820 South Obrien St., in Seymour.
Deputies went to the Obrien Street address but could not locate Waggoner. They called his phone, and he supposedly said that he had moved back to his previous residence in the 300 block of East Brown Street.
Waggoner was arrested for the offense of failure to register as a sex offender. Indiana law requires sex offenders to report address changes within 72 hours of moving.
