COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Bartholomew Consolidated School Corporation (BCSC) released a statement on Thursday morning about the reopening of school buildings after summer break.
The communication explains, “After concluding an unusual last quarter of the 2019-2020 school year, BCSC is focused on the beginning of the 2020-2021 school year. As we work toward specific plans for reopening school, we do so with the following guiding principles in mind.”
*Return as many students to our buildings as possible on Thursday, August 6
*Prioritize the health and safety of all students and staff members
*Provide high quality instruction regardless of context
*Ensure equity of access to high quality instruction for all students
*Provide families/students with choices and pathways that work best for individual learning needs
“As we explore various instructional delivery options that address our guiding principles, we need of information from our families. If you are a parent or guardian, complete the survey in the link below by Friday, June 19. We will review the data, analyze the current circumstances at both the local and state level, and publicly provide more specific information regarding reopening on or about Monday, July 6 (The final phase of reopening for the state is scheduled for Saturday, July 4).”
