COLUMBUS, Ind. – Bartholomew County Sheriff Matt Myers met with Johnson County Sheriff Duane Burgess in Greenwood on Easter morning to discuss the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and the predicted surge expected in south-central Indiana this week. He also talked to Indiana Sheriff’s Association President and Porter County Sheriff Dave Reynolds about the need for personal protective equipment for the front line staff. Everyone seems to be on the same page.
Myers said, “I will be meeting with Jackson County Sheriff Rick Meyer this week to share information regarding the virus crisis facing our area. Sheriff Meyer and I have pledged to help each other in any way we can.”
Burgess commented, “Things change daily and we must ensure that we are working together to trade important information to stay on top of it. The mask and gloves are a distraction but have become a way of life in the past few weeks.”
