COLUMBUS, Ind. – Columbus Regional Health (CRH) CEO Jim Bickel was the guest speaker at the State of the City event in the Fair Oaks Mall space on Tuesday evening. His remarks stressed the value of relationships, community collaboration, technology, programs, and services.
Regarding technology, he spoke about the hospital’s best-practices electronic medical record system. He noted that CRH has been recognized as a top 50 cardiovascular hospital in the nation. Bickel also outlined plans for space at Fair Oaks and other auxiliary hospital campuses.
He began his remarks by talking about what he called mission moments, instances when the core purpose of CRH becomes clear to all staff members involved in a given situation. One such instance was a letter from the mother of a patient who had passed away. The letter praised the staff’s attention and compassion to the patient in her final days.
