GREENWOOD, Ind – Indiana American Water recently announced that it donated more than $295,000 last year to organizations in the communities it serves across the state through general charitable contributions and programming support, per a press release.
The American Water Charitable Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides grants and contributions where American Water employees live, work and operate, also donated $40,850 to 77 non-profit organizations in Indiana in 2021.
Each year, Indiana American Water provides hundreds of thousands of dollars in grants to its communities through its Environmental Grant Program, firefighter grants, and other charitable contributions and community partnerships. Indiana American Water employees also donated to dozens of organizations across the state through United Way and the American Water Charitable Foundation’s volunteer and matching gift program.
